The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is currently investigating the death of Jacey Walker, W/F 33 yoa, of Texarkana. On March 2, 2009, at 4:00pm, officers received a call from the maintenance manager of Sterling Crest Apartments, 915 East Broad Street, of a dead woman in an apartment. Officers located Walker deceased inside the apartment. Based on evidence located at the scene, and interviews of witnesses, detectives believe the death may be a homicide and are investigating it as such. Results of an autopsy are pending, and further information will be revealed after the autopsy is performed.
David Walker, the husband of the deceased, who resided at the same apartment, was arrested in a hotel room in Magnolia, Arkansas and charged with a drug related offense just hours following the discovery of Jacey Walker’s body based on information provided by TAPD detectives.
