Re: Officer Injured During Assault Call

On February 14, 2009, Texarkana Arkansas police officers responded to an assault call in the 2100 block of County Ave. Dispatch advised the suspect was Leonard Davis, B/M 11/30/85. Davis is well known throughout the police department and has a long history of violent arrests. When officers arrived on scene and began investigating the call, they observed Davis walking from behind the residence. Officer Munn attempted to stop Davis from fleeing the scene when a physical altercation ensued. Davis was able to flee the scene on foot. Officer Munn was transported to St. Michael’s hospital and released for injuries sustained during the altercation.

Davis is currently wanted for fleeing and battery 2nd against a law enforcement officer, both felony offenses. Anyone with information on Davis is strongly encouraged to contact the Texarkana Arkansas Police Dept. or local Crimestoppers at 903-793-STOP.
