Texarkana Arkansas Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred early this morning at “EZ Mart”, 4524 North State Line Avenue. Officers responded to the location at approximately 1:30AM after receiving a 911 call. After interviewing the clerk and viewing store surveillance tapes officers noted that a young black male, wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt and black pants, entered the store and asked to purchase an item requiring identification. The suspect failed to provide identification to the clerk and left the business on foot. After a short time the suspect returned to the business and produced a black handgun while demanding money from the register and safe. The suspect then fled the business again on foot. During the same time frame of the incident, an individual located near the business advised he also was robbed at gunpoint by a suspect whose description was similar of robber of the convenience store.
