The city of Texarkana Arkansas is encouraging all citizens to contact the Arkansas Governor’s Officer to report gas gouging. Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe has declared Arkansas in a state of emergency due to the gas shortage from the effects of hurricane Ike. Gas Gouging is illegal and businesses can be fined up to $10,000.
All citizens are requested report any further price gouging, occurring before the storm hits, to the Governor’s office, at 501-682-2345.
