The Texarkana Arkansas Police Dept. made two arrests yesterday afternoon involving an armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery man. Dustin Akin, w/m 24yoa, alleged he was robbed at gunpoint by three unknown b/m’s while delivering pizzas to a residence on West Road, at 4:00 P.M, on June 16, 2008. Akin advised the suspects demanded money from him, while striking and beating him. Akin gave a description of the suspects to officers, along with the telephone number that was used to make the delivery call. The telephone number returned to an address located in the Smith Keys Apartment complex, which is located in the immediate area of where the robbery occurred. Three b/m’s were located in the apartment complex and all three were later arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, a felony.
Arrested were Randy Thomas, b/m 18yoa, and Codarrius Morris, b/m 20yoa, both from Texarkana Arkansas. In addition, a juvenile male was arrested and transported to the Miller County Juvenile Detention Center. This case is ongoing and more arrests are pending.
It is believed that this incident is related to the Taxi cab driver robbery that occurred on June 15th, 2008, at 11:00 P.M. in the 900 block of East 10th street, as well as a Taxi cab driver robbery that occurred on June 11th, 2008. During this incident the cab driver alleged to have been robbed at gunpoint by two b/m passengers, which he had picked up from 2324 North State Line Avenue, On The Run Exxon. During this incident the cab driver was struck in the head by the suspects, while they were demanding money. The suspects told the cab driver to continue driving until stopping in the 2400 block of Preston Street. At which time the suspects removed the cab driver’s cell phone and vehicle keys before fleeing the scene on foot. Suspect Codarrius Morris has been charged with this Robbery. The other suspect in this case, Paul Sutton Jr., b/m 27 yoa, has an outstanding felony warrant for aggravated robbery. This case is also continuing investigation.
It has been determined that a third incident which occurred recently, is also linked to the above mentioned cases. On June 11th, 2008, at 01:00 A.M., officers responded to an armed robbery call of a Taxi cab driver on Short Kniffin Street. The cab driver alleged while transporting two b/m passengers, one suspect grabbed his throat while holding a gun to his head and demanded money while the other suspect removed cash from his pockets. Before fleeing the scene the suspects took the vehicle key from the ignition. Suspect Codarrius Morris has been arrested and charged for this offense as well. Warrants are forthcoming for suspect Paul Sutton Jr.
