Domestic Dispute Results in Stabbing

On 06/0/08 at 05:00 P.M., The Texarkana Arkansas Police Dept. responded to a call of a severely beaten female in the 300 Block of East 38th Street. Upon Arrival, Officers located the victim, Brittany Gerber, W/F 04/19/82, who had sustained significant injuries, including numerous stab wounds on her head. Gerber was immediately transported to St. Michael’s hospital for medical attention. The call of service came from co-workers who went to the residence to check on Gerber after she did not show up for work that day. It was determined during the investigation that the suspect, Heath Dickerson, W/M 12/05/80, beat and hit Gerber throughout the day after he became angry with her. During the altercation Dickerson stabbed Gerber numerous times on the head and neck causing serious injuries. Dickerson fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival and still has not been located. Dickerson currently has an outstanding felony warrant for Domestic Battery in the first degree.
