A North Heights Junior High School student is in custody this morning after assaulting four teachers on campus. On Monday, January 28, 2008, at approximately 8:00 A.M, Texarkana Arkansas School Resource Officer Christine Knouse responded to a disturbance inside the school building. It was determined that a school teacher, Judy Wilson, confronted two juvenile males after observing them acting disorderly in the hallway. Wilson said while speaking with the juvenile’s, one of the males began to curse her and walk away. Wilson then attempted to stop the juvenile and escort him to Officer Knouse when he turned and punched her in the chest area. While Wilson was struggling with the juvenile three other teachers attempted to assist and gain control of the situation. The juvenile continued to kick and strike all four of the teachers before he was able to be restrained by Officers. All four of the teachers suffered minor bruising and swelling caused by the juveniles actions.
The juvenile was taken to Miller County Juvenile Detention center where he was charged with four felony counts of Battery 2nd and disorderly conduct.
