Re: 2 Arrested on Separate Incidents of Burglary in Progress

Texarkana Arkansas Police have two subjects in custody after responding to two separate calls involving residential burglary in progress.

The first incident occurred on 4/11/07 at approximately 11:30am. Officer Joe Rochelle was dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of Locust Street. The victim's neighbors had witnessed an unknown suspect standing in the back yard of the residence. After arriving on scene, patrol officers and detectives surrounded the house and noticed that one of the rear windows had been broken out near the location where the suspect had been seen standing.

Officers were able to see the suspect who was still inside the house. He was covered by the officers who were outside while two additional officers entered the house through the broken window and took him into custody. The suspect was found to have stolen property in his pockets at the time of his arrest. The suspect, Michael Gooden (b/m/25 Texarkana, TX) was charged with Residential Burglary/Felony and booked into the Bi-State Center without further incident.

The second incident took place on 4/12/07 at approximately 11:20am. Officer Lloyd Douglas was dispatched to a report of a residential burglary that had just occurred in the 2100 block of Pearl St. Upon arrival officers were told that the victim had returned to her residence and found that the suspect (who was a relative) had broken into her house and removed several items. He then reportedly moved outside and was in the process of looking through a storage shed.

The suspect fled on foot prior to officers arrival and was located hiding in the 200 block of Cleveland St. after a brief search of the area. The suspect, Ensely Robinson (b/m/26 Texarkana, AR), was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary/Felony and Misdemeanor/Possession of Marijuana. He was booked into the Bi-State jail. Both suspects are awaiting a bond to be set.
