Re: Burglary Arrests Clear Several Open Cases

Detectives with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department have made 3 arrests in an ongoing burglary investigaton which involved the theft of a reported $30,000 worth of merchandise. The suspects, Armenia Milligan (19 yoa Texarkana, AR.) and two other juvenile males, were arrested on charges of breaking or entering, residential burglary, and an additional charge of commercial burglary. Each of these charges are separate felonies. The suspects were arrested without incident and bail has not been set.

The case began on June 15, when officers responded to a report of a residential burglary on N. Rondo Rd. During this break in several items were taken from the home including a VCR and a .12ga shotgun. A nearby storage shed was also broken into and tools were taken, along with a welder.

On July 30, a commercial burglary occurred at Harold's Transmission on Washington St. In this incident the suspects took several thousand dollars worth of tools and electronic equipment. In the process of burglarizing the building the suspects also entered several cars which were on the lot awaiting service. In the course of the investigation detectives developed evidence which linked the three suspects to the burglaries. The suspects were interviewed and, based on the evidence coupled with their statements, subsequently charged with the crimes. In addition to these offenses evidence was also developed which linked two of the suspects to a burglary in Saratoga, AR. This case is still under investigation.

The total loss value was estimated at $30,000 in the Texarkana cases and detectives were able to recover most of the stolen merchandise. The two juvenile males were taken to Miller County JDC for processing and Millegan was booked into the Bi-State Jail.
