Re: Officers seeking assistance with Hit-and-Run collision.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is seeking help in a hit-and-run vehicle collision that occurred last Saturday, 05/14/05 at 1:25am. The driver of a black 1985 Chevrolet C10 pickup was stopping at the traffic light east bound on East 9th and Cooper Tire road when he was struck from behind by light colored Ford Mustang. The impact sent the truck into a spin, which stopped in the west, bound lane of East 9th street. The driver of the Ford Mustang fled east on East 9th/hwy 82 directly after gaining control of the vehicle. The driver and the passenger of the pickup suffered no major injuries. No further information could be obtained about the occupants of the Ford Mustang.

Witnesses described the Ford Mustang as white or gray, unknown year model with substantial front-end damage. Due to the amount of damage to the Mustang officers do not believe it could have gotten far but have been unable to locate it.
