Re: Arrest of Liquor Store Robbery Suspect.

47 year-old Rick Lewis Finley of Texarkana Texas was arrested and charged with one count of felony Robbery and Breaking or Entering following a patrol level investigation by Officer Les Munn. Officer Munn responded at 10:50am this morning (03/14/05) to a Robbery at B.J. Liquor Store located in the 3200 block of N. Stateline. The clerk explained that a black male had lingered in the store until he was able to get behind the register unnoticed. The clerk found the suspect as he was stealing and a struggle ensued. The clerk was unharmed and suspect fled on foot. Officer Munn applied his experience and knowledge of the area and was able to identify Finley as a possible suspect. Officer Munn was like wise able to direct other officers to the 3900 block of N. Stateline where Finley was located and positively identified by the victim.

Detectives are continuing to investigate this crime and Finley as become a person of interest in other crimes along the Stateline area.
