Re: Patrol Officers make 11 Felony Arrests Over the Weekend.

On Saturday 11/06/04, With information from citizens, Texarkana Arkansas Patrol Officers were investigating a burglary that led to a trailer park in the 4800 block of Old Blackman Ferry Road. When Patrol Officers entered the trailer in question, they discovered numerous stolen items such as lap top computers, jewelry, DVD’s, and knives. Patrolmen also discovered illegal drugs in several different areas of the trailer and on suspects in the trailer.

Eight individuals that were in the trailer were arrested in connection with the stolen items and illegal marijuana. Among those arrested were one adult, 22 year-old Eric Porter of Texarkana AR., and seven juveniles ranging in ages from 15 to 17 years old from Texarkana AR. and TX. The recovered items have been linked to four burglaries in Texarkana. No bond has been set and Porter is still in Bi-State jail.

On Monday morning 10/08/04 at 2:10am Patrol Officers responded to a vehicle burglary at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of County Ave. An alert caller called 911 and described the suspects as they broke into a car. Using good communication and tactics, patrolmen surrounded the area, and quietly entered the complex. Officers caught the two suspects with the tools they were using near another vehicle.

19 year-old Taxaris Williams and 18 year-old Willie Tatum of Texarkana Arkansas were charged with Felony Breaking and Entering. No bond has been set and both suspects are still in the Bi-State jail.
