On 08/26/04 at 11:28pm Patrol Officers with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department responded to a traffic accident on Hwy 82 (East 9th) and Mosley Road. A passer-by called 911 after he saw a Ford truck lodged in a steep ditch east of Hwy 82. When officers and paramedics arrived on scene it was determined that a lone occupant was deceased. At the time it was believed to be a traffic fatality. Once the victims’ body had been transported to local hospital strong evidence was discovered to suggest the victims death might be the result of a criminal act. The case is currently being described as a death investigation and possible homicide.
The victims name and details of the event are being withheld pending further investigation. Further information about this case will be released when appropriate.
