Yesterday morning at 11:41am Texarkana Arkansas Officers responded to GCR Tire Center 6010 N. Stateline in reference to a burglary. According to reports 125 Semi-Tractor Trailer tires at an estimated dollar amount over $ 61,000.00 had been stolen.
Night shift officers and the owner had responded to an alarm call at the business on 07/14/04 at 11:30pm. Nothing unusual was found. The owner reset the alarm and no other alarm calls to the business were reported.
Detectives believe that two stolen box trucks from businesses in Texas were used during the burglary. One box truck was reported stolen from the Parwin Chemical Company at 3602 Summer Hill Rd. on 07/14/04. Another box truck was reported stolen from Williams Insulation at 1516 Texas Blvd. on 07/14/04.
Both box trucks are white in color. “Williams Insulation” was painted on the doors of a 2000 model box truck and “Parwin” was on the sides of the cargo box of a 1996 box truck.
