At 4:27am this morning Texarkana Arkansas Police Officers responded to an Aggravated Robbery at Easy-Mart 1205 East St. According to reports a black male robbed and assaulted the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and demanded money and cigarettes shortly after entering the store. The masked suspect fled from the store on foot after taking an undetermined amount money and some cigarettes.
A similar robbery occurred on Sunday 5:45am at the Triple J, 1512 N. Stateline. A black male wearing a black ski mask entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes at gunpoint. The clerk was not assaulted during this robbery.
Detectives feel strongly that these two robberies may be related and are asking for the publics help. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’11” to 5’ 09” weighing between 180 to 150 pounds, last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He considered armed and dangerous.
