Re: Armed Robbery at Camp I-30 Truck Stop, A04-4324

At 3:20am this morning Texarkana Arkansas Police Officers responded to an armed robbery at 3115 East 34th Camp I-30 Truck Stop. According to reports, two black males entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. The clerk reported that the suspects were driving a gray Cadillac, which they used to flee the scene. A witness that had reportedly seen this vehicle in the area prior to the robbery also provided descriptive information to officers.

A description of the alleged suspects and their vehicle was broadcasted. At 4:03am this morning Patrolman Johnny McBride of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department spotted the vehicle traveling west on East 35th St. Officer McBride was unable to maneuver his patrol car around fast enough to give chase and the vehicle fled across Stateline. Officer McBride alerted Texarkana Texas Officers and they were able to stop the car without incident in the 1000 block of College St.

Five hundred dollars, which was reported as taken during the robbery, and a pistol was recovered from the vehicle.

Officers arrested 18 year-old Timund McHenry and 19 Year-old Calvin Ford of Dekalb Texas along with 21 year-old James Murphy of Texarkana Texas for Aggravated Robbery. The three men are being held in the Bi-state jail facility and no bond as been set at this time.
