22 year-old Sedrick Noble of Texarkana Texas and 24 year-old Sammie Davis of Wake Village Texas were arrested last night (03/31/04) at 6:22pm for a Kidnapping that occurred in Texarkana Texas the same night. Patrol Lieutenant Doug Avery spotted the car they were traveling in the 1000 block of Garland Street and coordinated Arkansas Police Units to commit a “felony traffic stop.” Texas officers had issued a description over the radio of the car that the two men had used to kidnap a young boy.
The two were taken into custody without incident and the boy retuned safely to Texas authorities. Arkansas Officers found marijuana in the possession of one of the men and in the car. While inventorying the car officers located two shotguns in the trunk. The Patrol Officers recognized that clothing in the car, the shotguns, and the two men matched descriptions of elements in a recent armed robbery at Taco Tico on East 9th Street.
The men were charged with felony Kidnapping, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Felon in Possession of Firearms in connection with the Texas kidnapping.
Today, following an investigation, Texarkana Arkansas Detectives arrested Noble and Davis for felony Aggravated Robbery in connection with the March 26th Taco Tico robbery. On Friday the 26th of March two men entered the East 9th Street Taco Tico armed with shotguns and demanded money. The gunmen got away with an undetermined amount money and no one was injured.
