EMS Appreciation Day

 

PRESS RELEASE To: The Media 5/21/18 From: Freed Am Corp. Public Relations Team Texarkana Emergency Center, Fox Sports Radio 1400 and Farmers Bank will Serve all First Responders Free Meals Wednesday May 23rd, 2018 at FBC Texarkana and Big Jakes

TEXARKANA, TEXAS- In conjunction with EMS Appreciation week; Texarkana Emergency Center, Fox Sports Radio 1400, and Farmers Bank and Trust will serve free meals to First Responders for breakfast at First Baptist Church-Texarkana and for lunch and dinner at Big Jakes Bar-B-Que's Texarkana locations Wednesday March 23rd. The EMS Appreciation Day event is also sponsored by LifeNet.. The first responder' free meals will be served Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The complimentary breakfast for all first responders will be served from 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church-Texarkana, Tx., 3015 Moores Lane.

The gratis lunch and dinners for the first responders will be served between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. at all Big Jakes Bar-B-Que locations in Texarkana, Tx., and Texarkana, Ark.

During this time, all first responders including EMS, all law enforcement and firefighters can come into any of the above-mentioned locations for a free meal.

The idea to honor first responders during EMS appreciation week was the brainchild of Dr. Matt Young, owner of Texarkana Emergency Center and this is the 3rd Annual event.

We are excited to support those whoprotect, service and care for our community, Dr. Young said.

We think that its important to thank all first responders for their hard work and service to our community and we are happy to team up with Texarkana Emergency Center and Fox Sports Radio 1400 to serve complimentary meals this Wednesday,ԠJames Bramlett, President of Farmers Bank and trust in Texarkana said. its the least we can do.ԍ

Big Jakes owner Matt Palmer said heӳ helping because heӳ grateful for all first responders.

To help draw awareness to the event; Fox Sports Radio 1400 will broadcast live from3 of the locations Wednesday where the first responder free meals will be served. They will also be giving away free prizes and free Texas Rangers tickets. Everyone is welcome to come to the radio remotes to show their support for the first responders.

We would hope they do (come to the remotes) Fox Sports Radio 1400 owner Bob DelGiorno said. "When other run from danger, our first responders head for it," They are heroes."

Fox Sports Radio will broadcast live from First Baptist Church Texarkana from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m., from Big Jakes Bar-B-Que 1521 Arkansas Blvd in Texarkana, Ark from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. and Big Jakes Bar-B-Que 5710 Richmond Rd in Texarkana, TX., from 4 p.m. till 6 p.m.

The Mayors of both Texarkana cities, Bob Bruggerman from Texarkana, Tx., and Ruth Penney Bell from Texarkana, Ark., will make a proclamation declaring May 23rd, EMS Appreciation Day in the cities of Texarkana. They are expected to arrive at First Baptist Church-Texarkana via a LifeNet Helicopter on May 23rd, at approximately 7:15 a.m.
