Texarkana Arkansas Police are currently investigating 2 separate armed robbery incidents believed to have been committed by 2 different suspects.
The first armed robbery occurred yesterday evening, on 12/17/15, at approximately 7:00pm, in the 4500 Block of North State Line Avenue, the EZ Mart convenience store. During this incident a black male wearing a red hoodie and dark colored jeans approached the counter displaying a handgun and demanded money from the register. The unknown suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the business on foot.
The second armed robbery occurred early this morning, at 1:00am, in the 2400 Block of North State Line Avenue, the Speed X convenience store. During this incident a black male, approximately 5’6 and 150lbs, wearing all black clothing, with half of his face covered entered the store and approached the counter displaying a handgun. The suspect ordered the employee to face away from him and removed cash from the register. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled the business running on foot.
No injuries were reported from both incidents. At this time it is believed that 2 different suspects committed these crimes. The photos that are attached to this press release are from the first incident in the 4500 block of North State Line Avenue.
