On Friday, March 27, 2015 at 8:00am Texarkana Arkansas Police received an alarm call at the Stop and Shop Convenience Store located at 1804 East 9th Street. Upon arrival officers located two store employees with lacerations and bleeding heavily. Both victims were transported by LifeNet for medical attention.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, David Clark, B/M 24yoa, entered the store and proceeded to the counter with several items. The store employee began to ring up the items in the register when Clark reached over the counter and cut the employees neck with a sharp object, causing a large laceration. At this time Clark ran behind the counter and cut the second employee as well. Clark then went to the register and attempted to open it but was unsuccessful. Clark then fled the business on foot.
Within a short time Detectives arrived and were able to develop information that led them to Clark, who lived in the area of the store. Clark was arrested for Attempted Capital Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Battery 2nd.
