On Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 7:30am, Texarkana Arkansas Police responded to the Economy Inn located at 4300 North State Line Avenue, in reference to an armed robbery call. Officer Dennis Hagan arrived on scene and located an employee of the business, who reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown black male. The employee said the suspect entered the business and demanded cash from the register. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Video evidence was provided to officers which showed the suspect to be approximately 5’9” tall and 200lbs, with facial hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Then on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 10:30am Officer Hagen was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1600 block of East 50th street involving child custody issues. While investigating the disturbance call Officer Hagan learned of information that matched the suspect of disturbance call to the suspect that committed the hotel robbery the day prior. This information led officers to Brandon Frazier, B/M 28yoa, of Texarkana, Arkansas, who was located in the 1000 block of Locust Street. Frazier was arrested and charged with interference with child custody as well as aggravated robbery. This investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
