Re: Suspect Wanted in Stabbing

On Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1:00pm, Officers responded to the 2000 block of East 24th Street, the Shangri-La Apartments, in reference to a disturbance call. When officers arrived they located Chanjarrica Wooten, B/F 30 yoa, in a vehicle outside the apartment. Wooten was covered in blood and had suffered multiple lacerations and stab wounds. Wooten was transported by LifeNet to a local hospital for medical attention.

From the investigation Officers learned that a verbal altercation occurred between Wooten and her boyfriend, Kendrek Hawkins, B/M 32yoa, in the parking lot of the complex. The altercation turned physical when Hawkins attacked Wooten with a knife, cutting and stabbing her multiple times. Hawkins fled the scene in a maroon Pontiac Grand Am.

An arrest warrant for Hawkins has been issued for Domestic Battery (2nd Degree).
