Re: Officer Involved Traffic Accident

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is currently investigating a traffic accident involving a police patrol unit that occurred in the 800 block of East Street on Tuesday, August 02, 2011 at 2:30p.m Street. Texarkana Arkansas Police Officer John VanMeter and Recruit Officer Catalina Segura were traveling Northbound on East Street when a gold Honda, occupied by three juvenile females, pulled onto East Street from a business driveway and crashed into the patrol unit. All three juveniles were transported by LifeNet to Wadley hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was found at fault for the accident and issued a citation for failure to yield and for no seatbelt.

Both officers were taken to Wadley for minor injuries.
