Recently, several businesses in Texarkana, both Arkansas and Texas, and Wake Village have been victims of armed robbery at the hands of Michael Gamble, b/m 25yoa. Gamble’s arrest on 6/01/10 was the result of a joint investigation by three Police Departments into the robberies.
The first occurred on May 14th at an Arkansas side arcade, 131 E. 9th Street. On May 17th, he committed a rash of robberies. One at the Pasco’s Texaco, 4621 Summerhill Road, in Texarkana, TX and another at the E-Z Mart, 670 North Kings Highway, in Wake Village, Texas. Gamble then went on to rob another Arkansas side arcade at 3232 N. State Line during the same evening. Gamble was armed with a handgun during each robbery.
On June 1st, 2010, Gamble turned himself into Texarkana, Arkansas officers at the Bi-State Justice Building.
Gamble will face the following charges;
* 2 counts of Aggravated Robbery in Texarkana, Arkansas
* 1 count of Aggravated Robbery in Texarkana, Texas
* 1 count of Aggravated Robbery in Wake Village, Texas
Due to the diligent work of these agencies, a potentially very violent criminal has been taken off of the streets and put in jail. The investigation into these crimes is ongoing and more arrests are pending.
