The Texarkana Police Department is currently taking applications for the upcoming civil service examination, which will be administered on Saturday, April 24th 2010. The test will take place at the Bi-State Justice Building, located at 100 North State Line Avenue, at 9:00a.m.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department offers an exceptional starting salary of $37,080.00, with outstanding benefits including; 3 weeks of annual vacation, 4 weeks of paid sick leave, education and degree incentive pay, college tuition assistance, and a flexible health savings plan.
Applicants with prior police experience or honorable active military service, a fluency in Spanish or sign language, or possess more than 60 college credits will be awarded preference points provided they pass the police entrance examinations.
All qualifying applicants must be meet the minimum requirements of; 21 years old and a U.S. Citizen, must possess a valid drivers license, no felony convictions, 30 college hours or 2 years prior military/law enforcement service, no visible tattoos or use tobacco products.
