During the month of October, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Dept. investigated an above average number of vehicle burglaries that occurred in the areas north of East 15th street to North of Arkansas Blvd. All of the reported burglaries occurred during night light hours and all vehicles were left unlocked. The night shift patrol division began heavy patrol saturations in the effected areas to ensure our citizens were safe and catch those individuals involved in stealing from open vehicles as quickly as possible.
While assigned to saturated patrols, Cpl. Ed Chattaway, observed a suspicious male, wearing all camouflage and carrying a backpack, in an apartment complex at 3:00am in the morning. Cpl. Chattaway approached the male suspect and began questioning him which started an investigation leading to the arrest of Bradley Bobo, W/M 20 yoa, of Texarkana, Arkansas. Bobo was arrested on scene, and charged with 3 counts of felony breaking and entering.
Burglary Detective Paul Nall picked up the case and continued the investigation and was able to locate evidence linking Bobo with several other vehicle burglaries that occurred in Texarkana, Arkansas. Det. Nall charged Bobo with 13 additional counts of felony breaking and entering.
