Officer Kristi Mitchell

Officer Mitchell was hired with the Texarkana Police Department January of 2005. She earned her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, located in Camden, Arkansas.

Officer Mitchell received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Southern Arkansas University. She is currently assigned to the Services Division as the Public Information Officer.

 

 

Officer Holly Smith

Officer Holly Smith became a member of the Texarkana Police Department in June of 2005. She earned her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, located in E. Camden, AR.

Officer Smith is attending Texarkana College where she is pursuing a Criminal Justice Degree. She is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.

 

 

Officer Kittiele Potts

Officer Kittiele Potts was hired with the Texarkana Police Department in 1999. She attended the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden, Arkansas, where she earned her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification.

Officer Potts has an Associate degree from Columbia Southern University in Business and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.

She is currently assigned to the Services Division in Personnel.

Officer Christine Knouse

Officer Knouse was hired by the Texarkana Police Department July 2005. She graduated with her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy September 2005.

Officer Knouse is pursuing her degree in Criminal Justice at Texarkana College. She has held an Emergency Medical Technician certification with the State of Arkansas since May 1995.

Officer Knouse has been assigned to the Patrol Division; however, she is currently the Department’s School Resource Officer for the Texarkana Arkansas Region VII School District.

Corporal Denise Wilder

Corporal Denise Wilder became a member of the Texarkana Police Department in 1992. She received her Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University. After attending the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, she earned her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification.

During Corporal Wilder’s years with the department, she has worked in the Housing Authority Unit, the Crime Suppression Unit, and the Gang Unit. She is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, where she serves as a Field Training Officer.

Detective Shawna Yonts

Detective Yonts began employment with the Texarkana Police Department in 1999 as a Civilian Docket Specialist. She attended the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in E. Camden, Arkansas. After receiving her Arkansas Law Enforcement certification in 2000, she was then assigned to the Patrol Division. After a short tenure in the Patrol Division, she transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division, where she has been a Crime Scene Investigator since September 2003. Detective Yonts is currently pursuing her Criminal Justice Degree at Texarkana College.
